Nice one guy! We might try to work a
reference to this one into a blog post about where to buy Pillow Cases next
week.

It is amazing how the Fast Food Industry is trying to position themselves as healthy :-) I figure, if I'm going to McDonald's then I'm going to have what tastes good, not what 'is healthy'.

Thanks for sharing some cool marketing funnels with us.

Hope you are enjoying sunny southern California.

It will be interesting to see if Wendy's new natural cut fries are tweaked over time. They look ok and its fabulous that they are trying to be more healthy with the sea salt, but it does change the taste. Overall, from a marketing perspective I applaud Wendy's for their campaign to tap into the "healthy" trend. Enjoy!

Re: Natural Cut Fries? McDonald's IS THE MEASURING stick by which all other fries must measure up to. I tasted Wendy's and they are not quite their. FWIIW my opinion is correct and current

Re: What’s Your Referral Program? I never asked the McDonald's employees about why they were dressed so casually and I really only noticed it when a McDonald's employee from another store walked up to the register (on the customer side) and she was completely decked out in brand. As McDonald's I would be really displeased with the dressed down look - and I suspect if they are caught, they'd be fined in some way.

Re: What’s Your Referral Program? Is it possible that these individuals have to pay for their uniforms and most of them do not stay long enough in the job to get one. Also was the day your were there a special, no uniform day? Did you ask the young manager why the staff dressed in street clothes? If this is the only McDonald's that allows their staff to dress in street clothes, then McDonald's has nothing to worry. 99% of the rest of the franchise owners are doing their job to keep this one "possible slacker" in business.
The most important thing about franchise food is that it tastes the same, and the question I ask you is did these young people make your meal the way you wanted, and were you served in the prompt and friendly manner.

Re: Dove Candies?
This new online medium is truly becoming the way of the future.

Here in Toronto, we have a very popular DJ, host of 'Lovers and other Strangers', that has just refused signing with his traditonal station, opting to open his own online radio show.

I am sure that many more will follow; and those that listen to your advice today will only be ahead of the game tomorrow.

Re: Is Radio changing the channel?

Thanks for the insight to this Charlene...I can see the transition to online very easily as all our devices are digital..the behavior of listening will not change but the location of where we go to listen does.
Because of the free tools available to all, it will be interesting to see how small stations will monetize themselves at this early age (when everyone thinks they can do it for free themselves)...The big stations that are moving online will find themselves with a lot more competition.

Re: Is Radio changing the channel?

Thanks so much for the specifics - I've adjusted the article to reflect your info!

Re: Is Radio changing the channel?

Great article Charlene,

However Motivational Radio is not run on a blog radio format. It runs on there own streaming server, which they pay for each month. All the broadcasting software is runs direct from New Zealand. That is what sets it apart from many station. A totally independant entity.

Re: Is Radio changing the channel?

You are right about radio taking a new turn, its a turn for the better.
